(Berlin/Essen/Singapore, February 19, 2013) Swarovski, the world’s leading producer of cut crystal, genuine gemstones and created stones, has chosen Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd to set up its first Regional Distribution Centre (RDC). In Singapore, DB Schenker will provide warehousing and valued added services to accommodate Swarovski’s growing customer base demand in Asia Pacific. Moreover, Swarovski has awarded DB Schenker the inbound and outbound air and ocean transportation to and from Singapore, making so DB Schenker operate as their Total Integrated Logistics Provider.

The DB Schenker Logistics Service Center comprises a dedicated 4,650 square meters of temperature controlled warehousing space in the Singapore Free Trade Zone. Employing approximately 80 specialist staff, DB Schenker will offer inventory management and pick & pack activities, together with a wide array of Value Added Services, including jewelry inspection, high volume labeling in multiple languages, gift packing and printing of customized greeting cards. The TAPA-A certified premises will be tightly secured with special safety measures.
