The new year comes with several management changes on senior level in Damco.
23 January 2013 – During February, Damco will move its headquarters from Copenhagen in Danmark to The Hague in The Netherlands. At the same time, Damco carries out several changes on senior level.
Having spent more than 10 years in China, Mr. Steffen Schiottz-Christensen has moved to a position as CEO for Damco’s Africa and Middle East region, which was effective as of December 1 2012. He will be based in Cape Town and will succeed Mr. Nils Havsager, who has moved to a position as Global COO, where he succeeds Mr. Peter Kjaer Jensen. Mr. Havsager will be based in the new premises in The Hague.
Mr. Peter Kjaer Jensen will transition from the Global COO role into the position as Global CTO (Chief Transformation Officer), which includes the responsibility for all IT projects. Mr. Kjaer Jensen will continue to be based in Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, Global Head of HR Mr. Karsten Breum has taken over the role as CEO for Damco’s Asia Pacific region, from Mr. Tony Hotine, and will be based in Singapore. Mr. Marco Mingolla, who previously held the role as Head of HR Operations within Maersk Line, has taken over Mr. Breum’s position effective January 1, based in The Hague.
