DB Schenker unveils new international website

www.dbschenker.com with new sections and user-friendly navigation – All facets of website oriented to customers

DBSCHENKER125(Berlin, May 15, 2012) Quick access to information is becoming ever more important for globally operating companies and decision-makers. DB Schenker is responding to the individual requirements of customers with the completely reworked website “www.dbschenker.com”: Thanks to the user-friendly interface, visitors will be able to navigate the site quicker and can now click their way directly to product solutions, contacts or career pages. The completely revised DB Schenker website keeps pace with the rapid developments in the World Wide Web, is clearly arranged and well structured.

Dr. Karl-Friedrich Rausch, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Transportation and Logistics at DB Mobility Logistics AG, says: “As one of the world’s leading logistics providers, a transparent and well-structured presentation of our business, services and offers is vital for us. The new, modern DB Schenker website will make it even easier for our customers and business partners to find the information they need.”

The website is clearly oriented to business customers. The goal was to make it quicker and easier for them to navigate the DB Schenker site and to find the information they are searching for right away. What is the right DB Schenker contact information for ocean freight leaving Hong Kong? Where is the freight dispatched with DB Schenker located right now? Whom should a customer contact for rail freight solutions at DB Schenker Rail in Germany, Poland or other European countries? Where should I send my application? Where do I get a quote for European Land Transport from? Where are the latest new items and press releases from DB Schenker? These are all examples of requests answered by the information on the new website.

In addition to a more clearly structured navigation, the news items, reports and campaigns on the Internet portal invite visitors to form their own impression of the Deutsche Bahn Transportation and Logistics Division with its DB Schenker Rail and DB Schenker Logistics business units. New menu items such as “Industries” enable customers to search directly for information on their sector, and to discover the individual solutions available for their industry at a glance. A completely reworked career section was designed with applicants in mind.

Parallel to the new Internet portal www.dbschenker.com, the websites of the national companies worldwide are now also featuring a new, modern design.
