Lluís Gay new CEO of Schenker Logistics S.A.U. – Jaume Ballester retires
Berlin/Paris/Barcelona, July 23, 2013 – Effective September 1, 2013, Lluís Gay, who has been the head of Land Transport at DB Schenker Logistics in Spain since 2007, will assume the position of CEO of Schenker Logistics, S.A.U.
Gay, born in Barcelona in 1965, has 28 years of experience in freight forwarding and has been working in Land Transport for 24 years now. He has rich experience, having worked in a wide variety of departments from sales to operations, and at various levels from administration to management.
Jaume Ballester, the current CEO of Schenker Logistics, S.A.U., will be retiring after decades of successful work for the Group. He will continue to hold responsibility as the head of Land Transport in Region Europe West at DB Schenker Logistics until further notice. In 1975, Ballester helped to found Spain-Tir Transportes Internacionales, S.A., which is now part of the global DB Schenker network.
