London Heathrow, December 12, 2012 – Schenker Limited, the UK arm of the global services provider DB Schenker Logistics, has formally opened their latest new facility.
Customers, Board members, and employees celebrated the completion of the investment of the 5,200 square meter building which is totally dedicated for contract logistics and is very conveniently located just off J10 of the M42 and is now available for shared-user customers, in particular those in the automotive, industrial and consumer industries.
The Shared Logistics Center will provide services to multiple customers with similar requirements and thus offering them benefits created from sharing best practices and resources. UK Contract Logistics Director, Jochen Johann says, “Within this modern facility, customers will benefit from state of the art warehouse management system, availability of 12,000 pallet positions as well as expected high standards both in terms of security and the customer service we offer.”
