A complete range of services is available for e-commerce customers.
Deutsche Post DHL and Berlin-based company All you need GmbH have teamed up as partners in an e-commerce project. Since the beginning of the year, Christian Heitmeyer, initiator and founder of the successful brands4friends shopping club, and Jens Drubel, CRM and marketing specialist, have been developing an on-line supermarket that features an intelligent shopping assistant. The assistant is designed to simplify the overly complex customer and ordering dialog typical of on-line shopping for everyday necessities. “It will provide a new kind of speed and simplicity,” explained Drubel. “With customers even able to give the intelligent shopping assistant tasks which it then carries out independently.”
“The cooperation with All you need gives us the opportunity to develop our services as part of this new on-line offering,” added Dr. Andrej Busch, CEO of DHL Parcel Germany.
Focus on well-known brands
By using an innovative software solution, All you need aims to make on-line shopping even more convenient. The time usually taken up standing in line, looking for a parking spot and transporting the weekly purchases back home, can now be used for other things. The new shopping website concentrates on everyday consumer goods, such as food, personal hygiene and cleaning products. The focus is on well-known brands and an exceptionally large range of environmentally-friendly products.
“With Deutsche Post we are gaining an experienced cooperation partner who will enable us to bring the supermarket directly to our customers’ front doors in the future,” said Heitmeyer. This fits perfectly with our idea of introducing a new kind of simplicity into on-line shopping.” Deutsche Post’s parcel service DHL Paket will not only dispatch the parcels, but will also be responsible for warehousing and order picking.
Making life easier
It is precisely in the mail and parcel business that the world’s leading logistics service provider is increasingly focusing on solutions that make life easier for people living in an ever more networked, digital world. As part of its digitization strategy, the Bonn-based group has already launched a number of new services, from the E-Postbrief and on-line marketing solutions, through the internet shopping site MeinPaket.de, to a new on-line marketplace for quality journalism called DieRedaktion.de.
In addition, DHL Paket is Germany’s leading parcel operator, not least because of its extensive range of services for on-line retailers and their customers. A complete range of services is available for e-commerce customers, from on-line franking, through shipping via DHL Packstation or Paketbox, shipment tracking online or using an iPhone App, to on-line returns. And there is also the environmentally-friendly GoGreen shipment service, which sends all DHL shipments climate neutrally – including those for All you need.
