- Titzrath to succeed Board Member for Personnel Walter Scheurle
- Contract for CEO Frank Appel extended for another five years

Angela Titzrath (45) will succeed Board Member for Personnel and Labor Director, Walter Scheurle, in 2012.
The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post AG today appointed Angela Titzrath (45) to the Board of Management of the world’s leading postal and logistics group. Titzrath, who is currently a member of the Managing Board at EvoBus GmbH, a subsidiary of Daimler AG, will succeed Board Member for Personnel and Labor Director, Walter Scheurle, in 2012. After twelve successful years in this position Walter Scheurle will be stepping down at his own request and go into retirement. The exact date for the changeover has not yet been finalized.

New Board Member for Personnel and Labor Director
For the last twenty years, Angela Titzrath has held a number of executive positions within the Daimler Group. She is currently a member of the Managing Board at EvoBus GmbH and the company’s Head of Marketing, Sales and Aftersales. She is also a member of the Management Board of the Daimler Bus division. Prior to this position, as Vice President Executive Management Development at Daimler AG she was responsible for designing, implementing and managing all HR development programs for Daimler’s top management and the staffing for the Daimler Group around the world.
In this role, Angela Titzrath was also in charge of the Marketing and Recruiting activities for young executives, and headed the Expatriate Management department as well as the company’s Corporate Academy. From 1991 to 2005, Angela Titzrath worked in various positions for the company in Germany, Italy, Canada and Spain. She attended universities in Bochum (Germany), Perugia (Italy), and Coimbra (Portugal) and has degrees in economics and roman philology.
Appel appointed until October 2017
The Supervisory Board also extended Frank Appel’s current contract as well as his mandate as Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Post DHL by five years until October 31, 2017. Appel has been a member of the Board of Management since 2002 and was named CEO of Deutsche Post DHL in February 2008.
