Mars storm ahead in the SCALA Fresh Connection Competition with an impressive 15.63% ROI lead after the first 2 Day Competition event.
Competing last week with Tesco Direct, General Mills and Kimberly-Clark, the confectioner managed to fight off tough opposition.
An intense atmosphere hung in the air as the four organisations battled over supply chain strategy supremacy and Fresh Connection leadership.
Tesco Direct and General Mills both put on a good show, with the former taking an early lead and the latter achieving a remarkable turnaround throughout the event.
Kimberly-Clark held the top position throughout the majority of the 6 competition rounds, but was pipped at the post by ex-2011 winners Mars.
The SCALA road show will now continue as the Fresh Connection team travel onto Birmingham, Farnborough, Manchester and Leeds until the end of May to deliver the 2 Day Competition Events.
All participants will gather on the 13th June to take part in the SCALA Fresh Connection Final, alongside the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Annual Conference, where Mars can prove whether they still deserve the Fresh Connection champion crown.
