Kuehne + Nagel: New Automotive Warehouse in Kecskemét, Hungary

 

KN125Kecskemét, June 18, 2012 – Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new warehouse in Kecskemét, South-East of Budapest, which is tailored to the needs of vendors supplying the automotive industry.

The modern logistics centre provides a 10.000 m² storage area with a ceiling height of 10 meters. The facility is designed for rear as well as side loading and unloading. The truck entrance gate of the Mercedes-Benz production plant is right across the street, which enables just-in-time or just-in-sequence-deliveries for a timely fashioned  production supply.

Kuehne + Nagel offers its customers industry specific picking processes, assembling services, management of empty equipment flows as well as the management of sub-suppliers. The logistics centre which can be extended further is equipped with state-of-the art technology and fulfills the highest safety requirements.

Bob Mihok, Regional Manager Eastern Europe, said: „The new warehouse facility in Kecskemét enables us to support the logistics processes of the suppliers of Mercedes-Benz in an optimal way. This concerns both the sourcing processes as well as the direct feeding of the production line.
