Keystone Distribution UK announces agenda and speaker details of forthcoming Supply Chain Management Forum

Keystone Distribution UK today announces additions to the speaker line-up for its forthcoming Supply Chain Management Forum taking place at Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire on Wednesday, November 2nd.

Free to attend, the half-day conference is aimed at foodservice and supply-chain management consultants and will examine the logistical issues, challenges and opportunities that the London 2012 Olympic Games will present to the capital and to the foodservices supply-chain sector.

The agenda will include presentations from James Hookham, MD of Policy & Communications for the Freight Transport Association (FTA), Peter Backman, Managing Director of foodservice information consultancy, Horizons, and Mike Penning, MP, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport, who will look at the issue of urban logistics and night time deliveries.

In addition, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, DBE, will discuss her experiences as one of Britain’s leading Paralympic athletes in a sporting career that saw her collect 11 gold medals, 30 world records and a total of six victories in the wheelchair section of the London Marathon. Grey-Thompson will describe growing up with spina bifida, her decision to become an athlete, her rigorous training regime and the joy of victory.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to participate in what promises to be a lively and informative ‘Question Time’ debate entitled ‘Urban Logistics and the Challenge of London 2012’, a chance to probe a line-up of expert panellists on the unique logistical issues and considerations before, during and after London 2012.

Foodservice and supply-chain management consultants wishing to attend the event can register via the Keystone Distribution website (www.keystone-distribution.co.uk) or via email at ([email protected]).
