Ashby de la Zouch, UK, 24 May, 2012 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, is pleased to announce that it has won two prestigious awards at the 2012 MAN everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards in London.This year’s event, on 17 May, saw CEVA with four finalists in three different categories; Rising Star of the Year Award, Industry Trainer of the Year Award and the Green Champion Award. The awards, now in their fifth year, aim to raise awareness of the women leading the way in transport and logistics, demonstrating that this is an industry where women can have amazing, fulfilling and exciting careers.Joanne Griffiths, CEVA’s Senior General Manager, Training and Quality, UK, Ireland and Nordics was the winner of the Industry Trainer of the Year Award. Joanne is a highly respected and integral member of CEVA’s senior management team in the UK, Ireland and Nordics. She leads by example and has an open and inclusive approach to her management style. She embraces diversity and inclusion and demonstrates this through her collaborative and consultative approach. She is non-judgemental and encourages everyone to work together because she truly believes that the more diverse a team is the better performing it will be.
Stephanie Unitt, Environmental Advisor at CEVA was winner of the Green Champion Award. Stephanie is a highly energized, passionate thought leader. She drives change using her expertise and has a proven track record of achieving real improvements in the environmental record for CEVA across all of the company’s sites. Stephanie has been successful in moving the green agenda from a ‘nice to have’ to a real business advantage and has done so while being a model professional in her field.
CEVA has supported the event for two years and this year sponsored the Team Leader of the Year Award category. Kate Bishop, Senior Vice President Human Resources, Northern Europe at CEVA stated: “Creating a unified and diverse workforce is imperative within the logistics business as it reflects the clarity of vision amongst employees and customers alike.
