CEVA renews energy contract with Petroamazonas

Leading supply chain company adding more breakbulk services in the Americas

CEVA125Houston, Texas, 5 April, 2012 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain companies, has expanded its contract with Ecuadorian state-owned oil company Petroamazonas. Under the renewed contract CEVA will continue to provide a variety of import and export activities and will also expand breakbulk, Oceanfreight and Airfreight services for Petroamazonas’ drilling tools. As Petroamazonas grows its operations by opening a new drilling block and taking over fields from another government drilling entity, Petroproduccion, it has an increasing need for a supply chain partner that can grow and maintain flexibility through its expansion. CEVA has been working with Petroamazonas for nearly three years providing logistics support for all its drilling operation needs as well as services for materials that are purchased worldwide for delivery to Ecuador, arranging pick up at origin and managing the freight through to final destination.

“As we look to grow our organization, we need a partner that can support our expansion opportunities while still maintaining our current operations without letting anything slip,” said Augusto Gortaire Cordovez, Chief of Supply Chain and Logistics at Petroamazonas. “The team at CEVA has proved their ability to provide consistent and reliable services. We look forward to growing our relationship with CEVA and we have no doubt they will continue to exceed our expectations.”

The key factors that played a role in this renewal include the excellent operational performance at CEVA’s warehouse where the goods are received and checked, dedicated customer service and a strong team of experts on the ground in Ecuador.

CEVA’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its capabilities in the Energy sector is evidenced in this relationship with Petroamazonas. By ensuring full visibility and capitalizing on long standing carrier relationships, CEVA is able to optimize supply chain efficiency for increasingly complex global oil and gas logistics operations.

“With our combination of logistics experts and seasoned energy industry veterans, we’ve developed a valuable and strategic solution for Petroamazonas that we’re proud of,” said Geary Evans, Account Executive for CEVA. “This renewal signifies our commitment to Petroamazonas and the oil and gas industry.”
