Cutting-edge solution supports innovative logistics in Iberia
Madrid, Spain, 26 April, 2012 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has officially opened its Control Tower in Alcobendas, near Madrid, Spain.
The Control Tower is an innovative and integrated information hub that offers enhanced control functions to cater for all logistics services and has been structured in a similar way to the Milan Control Tower which was launched in 2010.
The Control Tower will allow the control of fundamental logistics operations from a single central point, at both national and international levels. In this way CEVA will strengthen the levels of service offered to customers, at the same time ensuring further cost optimization.
John Pattullo, CEVA’s CEO and Gianfranco Sgro, President of CEVA in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, joined Marco Galbusera, Managing Director of CEVA in Iberia, at the launch event on Tuesday 24 April, 2012, at which occasion the CEO expressed praise for a project which proves CEVA’s interest in investing in the Iberian market, giving additional momentum to the company’s business.
The Control Tower is an example of excellence and innovation within the logistics sector; a state of the art solution that offers companies both short and long term benefits, including optimized transport planning, improved reaction time to any issues and real time advanced reporting, thanks to 24/7 full coverage of all Iberian locations.

The Control Tower is divided into three areas, each performing specific functions:
- Red Area – dedicated to monitoring overall transport optimization including the network of national and international transports and financial targets. This enables robust management of the entire transportation process
- Blue Area – dedicated to planning and flow optimization of the 4PL approach which includes the handling of all transport
- Grey Area – dedicated to monitoring alarms during the transport phases, including real-time CCTV monitoring of high value transports and scrutiny of warehouses. This enables exceptional quality in the management of the products offered by CEVA.
