Deutsche Post DHL will be the main sponsor again of this year’s Beethovenfest in Bonn. Just as in past years, in addition to being a financial sponsor of the big musical event, the company will also host a variety of free events in the Post Tower Lounge. The main focus of the festivities will be to promote young talents and to boost a program aimed at people interested in the arts but who don’t regularly attend classical concerts.

During the 2012 Beethovenfest, the Post Tower Lounge will be hosting a wide variety of events carrying the “A mind of its own” theme from September 9th to October 7th, 2012. The program ranges from chamber music and chanson over film and video performances to jazz, concerts and will be free for all visitors. One of the aims of the event series is to hand over the stage to young talent in order to promote these young artists. In addition to these cultural activities, Deutsche Post DHL is also hosting the music festival “Clear the stage for Beethoven” in cooperation with the Beethovenfest Bonn, the organization “Bürger für Beethoven”, the musical initiative Ludwig van B. as well as the Musikschule Bonn.On September 8th and 9th, schoolchildren will perform on various stages in Bonn’s city center as a musical prelude to this year’s Beethovenfest.
