DB Schenker expands capacity for growth in Dublin region

DBSCHENKER125 (Dublin/Berlin/Essen, May 21, 2012) DB Schenker in Ireland has opened a new facility in Dublin. The new logistics center at Furry Park, Santry is a nearly 8,000 square meter high bay warehouse. It is the largest letting in the first quarter of 2012 in the country. For DB Schenker in Ireland this is already the second expansion this year with another new facility in Cork opening earlier in the year.

Ray Hennessy, Managing Director, Schenker (Ireland) Ltd. said: “This investment demonstrates our confidence for future growth within the Ireland market where our client base demands top class facilities, to TAPA-A and IMB certified standards. Our staff continue to work extremely hard in a challenging environment to maintain and grow our business. We are optimistic for the future.” As a result of this expansion DB Schenker in Ireland expects to grow work force to over 160 people.
