CEVA presents its Automotive expertise in China
Chris Senior, CEVA’s Global Key Account Director, Automotive, will be speaking at the conference on Tuesday 25 October, on the topic of ‘Automotive Logistics in a challenging market’, discussing logistics in China’s new five year plan, spare parts logistics, the anticipated growth in the Chinese aftermarket and green logistics. The aftermarket in China has not been actively developed so far, as the focus has been on selling new cars, but in the next ten years the expectation is that the Chinese aftermarket will grow to rival the size of the Western European market. That rate of growth will bring new challenges, with new dealers required in new territories, new warehouses to serve them and more cost effective, greener logistics solutions.
CEVA considers China one of the major growth opportunities and it is one of CEVA’s global strategic priorities. CEVA has 25 years of experience in China and is well positioned across the entire supply chain where it offers integrated global distribution, has a well developed and sustainable time-definite hub and spoke network with regular nationwide distribution to 204 cities.
CEVA’s joint venture Anji-CEVA Automotive Logistics Co., Ltd. is the first automotive logistics joint venture established in China bringing together Shanghai Automotive Industry Sales Corporation (SAISC) and CEVA. The core business of Anji-CEVA includes finished vehicle logistics, inbound logistics, in-plant services, packaging and aftermarket logistics.
CEVA has been operating in the Automotive sector for over 20 years, working for 19 of the top 20 global automotive suppliers and 14 of the world’s top 15 manufacturers. CEVA provides a portfolio of value added solutions, ranging from feeding sequenced parts to manufacturing plants on a just-in-time basis, through to inbound and aftermarket services.
