Tri Petch Isuzu Sales renews finished vehicle logistics agreement with CEVA in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand, 23 September, 2011 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has renewed its partnership with Tri Petch Isuzu Sales for a further three years.

CEVA’s specialist vehicle logistics team will continue to manage the customer’s Thai finished vehicle operations, two motor pools, shuttle transportation for Isuzu manufacturing plants to the motor pools and nationwide delivery to ISUZU’s dealers and body shops across Thailand. With a dedicated team to manage the 24 hour trucking operation, the entire network is constantly monitored to ensure the successful on-time delivery of the vehicles.

With Thailand’s increasing presence on the global automotive map, supply chain expertise in all fields is becoming much sought after by manufacturers and parts suppliers alike.  A recent automotive survey in the Bangkok Post [1] puts Thailand’s automotive production ranking at number 12 with an industry push to be a top 10 producer by 2015. Even with the impact of the recent natural disasters in Japan, the Thai automotive industry is showing a healthy 45% year-on-year increase in domestic sales over 2010. [2]

Jaap Bruining, Vice President of Contract Logistics for CEVA in Thailand, commented: “We have worked with Tri Petch Isuzu Sales since starting our vehicle logistics operations in Thailand three years ago. We have always maintained that to support and deliver against our customers’ expectations, we must have a close partnership with them and it is this relationship, coupled with flexibility and innovation to improve speed to market, which has ultimately resulted in this successful renewal. Our finished vehicle operations are managed to the highest international quality levels  and with our extensive experience in this specialized arena and expertise in managing supply chains,  we look forward to a further three years of success and helping Isuzu continue to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.”
