ModusLink Receives Fifth Consecutive “Pro to Know” Award From Supply & Demand Chain Executive

Leonard Han recognized for helping clients design flexible and scalable supply chains

MODUSLINK125WALTHAM, Mass. – March 29, 2012 – ModusLink Global Solutions™, Inc. (NASDAQ: MLNK), which designs and executes supply chain strategies for the world’s largest technology and consumer goods companies, announced that Leonard Han, vice president, Asia operations, has been named a “Pro to Know.” Han joins ModusLink’s Bill McLennan, Ryan Humphrey, Christie Eykelkamp and Lorcan Sheehan as a recipient of the award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive, marking the Company’s fifth consecutive win.

“Supply chain is increasingly recognized as a strategic differentiator for leading small, medium and large enterprises, and supply chain leaders have become crucial to the success of the enterprise in meeting the challenges of what truthfully has been called a turbulent economy,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Our annual Practitioner Pros to Know listing highlights many of these outstanding executives and their accomplishments, and it offers a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage.”

As vice president of operations in Asia for ModusLink, Han oversees an integrated network of Solution Centers in the Asia-Pacific region where the Company executes supply chain processes such as sourcing, factory supply, configuration and fulfillment. Han works closely with clients to help them improve supply chain operations by anticipating, understanding and executing solutions based on their specific needs.

“The most effective supply chain strategies are designed with a company’s larger business objectives in mind,” said Han. “ModusLink begins every engagement with a planning session to identify the clients’ short- and long-term goals and to get a feel for what success looks like to them. From there, we orchestrate a highly collaborative process to develop the best supply chain solution for the client with clearly defined key performance indicators which are reviewed on a quarterly basis.”
Supply & Demand Chain Executive issued a call for Pros to Know nominations in Fall of 2011. Beginning in January, the magazine’s editorial selection committee culled through more than 325 submissions to find the applicants that best fit the criteria. The full listing of the 2012 Pros to Know is available on the Supply & Demand Chain Executive website at SDCExec.com. An expanded listing appears in the March 2012 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.
