Companies Recognized for Exemplary Service, Performance and Commitment to Customers
SAN MATEO, Calif. – October 13, 2010
Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that two of its operating companies — Con-way Freight and Con-way Truckload — have been selected by Inbound Logistics for its 2010 Top 100 Motor Carriers list. This marks the second consecutive appearance in the annual compilation for Con-way Truckload, and fourth for Con-way Freight. The full list is available in the publication’s September issue.

Every year, U.S. freight carriers apply for inclusion on the Inbound Logistics list by submitting information including services offered, geographies served and performance statistics. For 2010, they also had to include an essay on recent industry trends such as capacity and driver shortages. More than 250 companies applied to appear on this year’s list.

The Inbound Logistics editorial staff chooses the Top 100 Motor Carriers by evaluating material submitted by entrants, as well as through additional research and personal interviews with shippers, drivers, facility managers, trucking company executives and others in the industry.
