Use of own CFS puts freight in customers’ hands up to three days faster
CEVA Ground specialist road transportation completes door to door service

In addition to the growing number of sailings worldwide, CEVA has augmented its LCL services in the U.S. Midwest by bringing all inbound consolidation containers into its own CFS (Container Freight Station) in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Onward distribution within the Midwest is then managed using CEVA’s Roadfreight organization, CEVA Ground.
The combination of CEVA’s well-established Roadfreight network and highly efficient CFS now delivers daily overnight IPI services to 10 U.S. Midwest network locations, more than doubling the prior service frequency and putting the cargo in the hands of customers up to four days faster.
Robert Braun, CEVA’s Regional LCL Director – Americas said: “We remain committed to continually enhancing our LCL Oceanfreight services and by managing the entire operation within CEVA’s own network we are not just reducing overall transit times by up to four days, we are able to guarantee our customers the consistent high level of quality they have come to expect from us. The combination of our CEVA Ground network with our LCL solution is a perfect fit and we will be introducing additional combined services in 2012.”
Currently, inbound containers are arriving in Illinois, U.S. from various locations in Asia Pacific, with plans for additional European and Asian origins to be added by the end of this year.
