Ashby-de-la-Zouch, UK, 4 April 2011 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has appointed two new Vice Presidents for key sectors in its UK and Ireland business. Ian Robb has been appointed Vice President, Industrial and Technology. Ian has worked for CEVA for 15 years, specializing in the development of two-man home delivery operations for major customers and facilitating major projects in the Technology and Industrial sectors. CEVA’s customers will benefit from Ian’s wide ranging experience which includes network optimization and the implementation of LEAN methodologies and new technologies across operations, which deliver environmental, efficiency and financial benefits. A major focus for Ian in his new role is the development of a two-man technology network, which will provide shared-user warehousing, transportation and installation services for manufacturers and retailers across the UK & Ireland.
Simon Hobbs joins CEVA as Vice President, Automotive on 3 May 2011. Simon has over 20 years experience within the Automotive and Tire sector, joining from DHL Supply Chain where he managed the Automotive aftermarket sector in the UK. Simon and his team will focus on further developing CEVA’s market leading position in the Aftermarket sector and on establishing relationships with key manufacturers to extend and broaden CEVA’s position in the pre-production sector. Simon, who has an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Cardiff University, will also manage CEVA’s relationship with Universities and the recently launched UK Automotive Forum. This independent forum is sponsored by CEVA and presented by the Center for Automotive Management at the University of Buckingham.
