CSCMP Announces Call for Case Study Submissions for Ninth Annual Supply Chain Innovation Award™ Competition

CSCMP125Lombard, Illinois USA (January 17, 2013)–The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Research Strategies Committee, in collaboration with SupplyChainBrain, announced the call for case study submissions for the 2013 Supply Chain Innovation Award™.

Established by CSCMP’s Research Strategies Committee and SupplyChainBrain, the Supply Chain Innovation Award™ was created to recognize corporate teams’ groundbreaking supply chain innovations that result in quantifiable and sustainable cost-saving, revenue-generating, or customer-satisfaction achievements.

Teams that are able to demonstrate through written case studies that their supply chain practices not only reduced costs, streamlined processes, saved energy, and improved operating efficiencies, but proved to be significant to the industry are selected as award finalists. Finalist teams are invited to present their case studies in The 2013 Supply Chain Innovations of the Year educational track at CSCMP’s Annual Global Conference, October 20-23, 2013, in Denver, Colorado. First-place and runner-up teams are announced during the Closing Session on Wednesday, October 23.

“Since 2005, more than 50 companies have been recognized in the Supply Chain Innovation Award™ competition for their new and innovative supply chain processes, services, and technologies,” said Jessica D’Amico, CSCMP’s research project coordinator. “This high profile award offers a way for organizations to receive global recognition for their supply chain innovations, providing extensive visibility within the profession.”

Convermex, Dal-Tile, Transplace, Werner Company, and Whirlpool Corporation received the first-place award in the 2012 Supply Chain Innovation Award™. The second-place prize was awarded to Cardinal Health and ThermoSafe.

Submission guidelines and winning and finalist case studies are available on CSCMP’s web site at cscmp.org on the “Community” tab. Intent forms and case studies must be submitted by March 11, 2013. For additional information about the competition, contact Jessica D’Amico at [email protected].
