Colombo, Sri Lanka, 13th December, 2012 – TNT Express in Sri Lanka announced today that it has won for the third consecutive year, the SLASA (Annual Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Association) trophy.
The all-island competition was organised by the Sri Lankan Garment Buying Offices Association (SLGBOA) on the 2nd of November 2012. This initiative aims to promote and foster growth of the garment industry in the country.
Leading apparel manufacturers, freight forwarders, shipping companies and express operators took part in the competition, in total 33 teams competed to win the coveted trophy.

The apparel sector is one of Sri Lanka’s largest export industries and provides a major part of the country’s gross domestic product.
