Provides Pro Bono Shipment of Goods to Hurricane Sandy Affected Areas in NJ & NYC
CHICAGO, IL – November 14, 2012 – Today, Easter Seals recognizes its partner Con-way Truckload for helping East Coast veterans struggling through the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The long-haul transportation and logistics services company donated its time and resources to deliver first-aid kits, food, toiletries, blankets, shoes, coats and other clothing items.
The shipment fittingly arrived on Veterans Day via a 53-foot Con-way Truckload truck to Easter Seals in New Jersey, where consumers, staff and families are now working to repackage the much needed supplies and then share with area veterans groups from the New Jersey and New York metro area this week.

Dedicated to solving humanitarian problems, AllHumanity Group LLC wanted to donate goods for veterans in need, but had no means of transporting them from South Carolina up to Easter Seals in New Jersey. The donation became possible when Con-way stepped in to help, providing seamless, immediate pro bono transportation for the 24 pallets of supplies.
In the midst of disaster, Con-way Truckload’s responsiveness was key in enabling Easter Seals to meet the needs of East Coast veterans and their families with the depth and support they deserve.
