DB Schenker Cultivates Key Players of the Future

The 2012 DB Schenker Award honors young scientists with a cash prize of 10,000 euros • Applications being accepted now 

DBSCHENKER125(Berlin, May 18, 2012) The next round in the selection process of one of the most important international awards in the logistics industry has begun. Applicants can submit their dissertation, postdoctoral qualification or comparable academic work by July 31, 2012, for consideration for the 2012 DB Schenker Award.

The DB Schenker Award has been given out annually since 1978 to foster young scientific talent. It recognizes scientific work in the fields of logistics, traffic and transportation. Papers on information systems, management systems or communications systems are also permissible, provided they have a particular reference to logistics. 

The DB Schenker Award is considered by the scientific community today to be one of the highest European honors for logisticians. The Award comes with cash prizes of 10,000 euros for the winner and 5,000 euros for the supervising professor.
