Dubai, 10th May, 2011 – TNT has been recognised in the Middle East as the leading express operator, having just been awarded the Express Logistics Provider of the Year Award, receiving this prestigious recognition for the second time in three years.
Awarded to the service provider that has delivered a portfolio of market-leading solutions within the Middle East’s express logistics sector, this was a particularly hotly contested category at the annual Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA), with all of the major integrators represented in the final selection. Companies were asked to provide evidence of exceptional performance in the field of express logistics, including network coverage, volumes transported, customer service, world-class facilities and a broad range of delivery options. The awards are awarded based on the deliberations of a panel of expert judges from the field of express and logistics.
In summarizing the reasons for selecting TNT once again the judges highlighted the attention to maintaining a high quality service, good customer interaction and ongoing investment in TNT’s infrastructure in the Middle East arena.
The recent opening of the Dubai International Airport hub, supported by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum and the upgrade of road and air connections across the region has certainly kept TNT in the industry’s eyeline in the last six months.
