Thomas Böger Appointed to Management Board of Schenker Deutschland AG

Thomas Schulz joined the Management Board of Schenker AG by the beginning of November, responsible for Human Resources

DBSCHENKER125(Berlin/Essen/Frankfurt am Main, November 7, 2012) The Supervisory Board of Schenker Deutschland AG in Frankfurt has appointed Dr. Thomas Böger to the company’s Management Board, where, as of November 12, 2012, he will be responsible for the Contract Logistics/SCM Division in the Central Europe Region of the DB Schenker Logistics Business Unit.

The 46-years old specialist in material handling engineering and logistics succeeds Dr. Michael A. Kluger. Böger has held positions of responsibility in automotive logistics, most recently at HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co.

“As an expert with experience in the automotive sector, Dr. Thomas Böger will help us tailor our service portfolio even more closely to changing customer needs”, outlined Dr. Thomas Lieb, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schenker Deutschland AG and Chairman of the Management Board of Schenker AG. “Contract logistics, especially services for the automotive and electronics industries as well as for industrial and consumer goods, is an attractive growth market which we will expand further.”

Furthermore, Thomas Schulz has taken up his responsibility as Member of the Board of Management of Schenker AG, Essen, effective November 1, 2012. He is responsible for the Human Resources of the global logistics provider. The 50-year-old lawyer succeeds Milagros Caiña-Andree, who left the company. So far, Schulz held a management position with logistics services provider Dachser.

Dr. Karl-Friedrich Rausch, Chairman of the Schenker AG Supervisory Board and Member of the DB Mobility Logistics AG Management Board, said, “I am very pleased to have Mr Schulz take on this position. He brings both human resources and logistics expertise. In our world-wide organization, the Human Resources Division is of key importance.”
