La Palette Rouge tops the rankings in the penultimate round of the UK Fresh Connection Competition.
With only two finger nail biting weeks until the Supply Chain and Logistics Competition Final, the palette pool provider is looking to clinch victory.
John Salsbury, LPR Operations Director said: “The team are absolutely delighted to have finished top and are determined to win the final and represent the UK in the global final. It was our aim at the beginning of the competition and hopefully we can finish the job. We have thoroughly enjoyed the competition and learnt a huge amount during the journey. As a result believe we make more effective business decisions”
As well as leading the UK Competition, LPR also take hold of the top Global competition position, beating all the other 127 teams across the entire Fresh Connection world.
However, all is still to play for on the 13th June as every team gathers for the UK Grand Final. Tough competition is set to come from retailer giants Marks and Spencers, Tesco Direct and Asda. In addition to challenging performances from top manufacturers Mars, Kimberly-Clark, General Mills and Jordans & Ryvita.
Who will have the top supply chain strategy? Which teams will crack under the pressure to perform? All will be revealed in two weeks time when the 2012 Supply Chain Champions will be crowned.
