North American Leader in Low Voltage Products Recognizes Carrier for Outstanding Service and Performance
JOPLIN, Mo. – May 30, 2012 – Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW), today announced it has received the distinction of 2011 Truckload Carrier of the Year by Thomas & Betts (T&B). Thomas & Betts is a global leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of essential components used to manage the connection, distribution, transmission and reliability of electrical power in industrial, construction and utility applications.
The award was presented to Con-way Truckload last month at T&B headquarters in Memphis, Tenn. This is the first time T&B has named a Truckload Carrier of the Year. To qualify for the award, Con-way consistently met the company’s expectations and demands, performing at the highest levels of service. Award criteria were evaluated in a carrier report card measuring service, claims, refused loads and equipment availability.
