Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that Corey Tyler, a 20-year veteran of logistics and transportation management, has been named senior director of transportation.
In his new role, Tyler becomes responsible for carrier negotiations, relationship management, transportation strategy and vision and growing the transportation management business. He will be based at Menlo’s national transportation management center in Aurora, Ill.
Tyler joins Menlo following 10 years with Baxter Healthcare Corporation, a global, diversified health care company where he served most recently as director of logistics and global transportation. At Baxter he managed distribution network design, private fleet management, and domestic and global transportation among other high-level responsibilities with proven success. Previously he spent more than a decade working in senior level marketing, sales and transportation management positions at Hellman Worldwide Logistics, Kohl’s Department Stores, Venture Stores Inc. and Norfolk Southern Corporation. Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
