Kinaxis Opens European Office to Meet Increased Demand in the Region

New office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, to be led by veteran sales and business development executive

Ottawa, Canada, November 17, 2011—Kinaxis, provider of RapidResponse Control Tower, a multi-enterprise planning and “what-if” simulation solution, today announced that it has opened its first European office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The company established this office to better serve its existing customer base in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region and to meet the growing demand for supply chain response and enterprise management solutions in the region.

“Like the rest of the world, the EMEA region faces unprecedented economic volatility and demand uncertainty,” said Bob Dolan, Kinaxis’s vice president, Global Sales. “Kinaxis meets the needs of today’s unpredictable business climate like no one else can, providing enterprise-wide planning, monitoring and response coordination through one solution—RapidResponse. This kind of decision-making tool is in high demand by large companies with complex supply chains in EMEA.”

Chris van der Harst, a sales and services management professional with 20 years of experience in international business development, was named as managing director, EMEA for Kinaxis. Prior to joining Kinaxis, van der Harst held strategic executive positions in sales and general management at Kewill, ServiceBench and Oracle.

“I am honored to lead the European activities for Kinaxis, because the company presents a unique solution offering to meet the needs of the chaotic environments enterprises face today,” said van der Harst. “RapidResponse enables our customers to quickly detect plan variances and make intelligent course corrections that keep the company aligned with business goals. Companies throughout EMEA are in great need of this capability, and I look forward to helping them meet that need and to expanding our existing customer base in the region.”
