Supply Chain Management Software Service Provider Enhances Integration, Scalability, and Performance Capabilities
Ottawa, Canada, February 14, 2011 – Kinaxis, provider of the on-demand supply chain management (SCM) and sales and operations planning (S&OP) software service, RapidResponse™, today announced that it is has made the Spring 2011 release of RapidResponse available as a beta to interested customers.
The RapidResponse 2011 release takes significant strides in delivering key integration, scalability and performance requirements as sought by its market-leading enterprise customers. This release demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the customer-held vision for the product.
Notable enhancements include:
- Closed loop: Improved integration to transactional systems including the capability to import and export only net changes. This will mean that customers can close the loop between RapidResponse and their respective ERP systems, most typically SAP and Oracle, making the path from decision to execution seamless.
- Continued investment in web services: Continued development in web services will drive further improvement in multiple layers of system-to-system integration and automation.
- Major leap in scalability: Supporting larger quantities of input data and faster performance of analytics, the in-memory database will run on a 4 terabyte engine, thus improving the analytical engine’s already unrivaled calculation speed.
- Enhanced S&OP capabilities: User-configurable dashboards, enhanced visualizations and process playbooks deepen the S&OP user experience and value.

All of the additions and enhancements of the spring release, which is expected to be generally available in May, will apply to both the RapidResponse – SCM Edition and RapidResponse – S&OP Edition. Current on-demand customers will be able to deploy this product release as part of their standard RapidResponse upgrade.
