Eyefortransport again recognizes Exel as best 3PL

Exel, the North American leader in supply chain management and a Deutsche Post DHL company, earned the North American Best 3PL award for pharmaceutical, chemical and hazmat during eyefortransport’s annual 3PL Summit in Atlanta. Exel was also a finalist in the renewable energy category. This is the third time in the last five years that Exel has won the award in the pharmaceutical, chemical and hazmat category, and the fourth time in five years Exel has won a “Best 3PL” honor. eyefortransport is a news, research and events company for the logistics and transportation industry. The nominations are judged by North American 3PL customers who work with logistics service providers every day.

According to Katherine O’Reilly, executive director of eyefortransport, a record number of votes were cast for this year’s award winners, symbolizing the increasing value realized by organizations working in tandem with their 3PL partners. “The awards this year represent customers’ renewed faith in their 3PLs’ ability to deliver the service they need both during a recession, and in the rebound period,” added O’Reilly.
