“A little over two years ago, I assumed the role of CEO at DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A., in addition to my function as CEO of Region East at DB Schenker Rail. Since then, we have continually developed the Polish group. We have been able to make sustainable improvements to DB Schenker Rail Polska’s financial position and, more importantly, finalized the merger process. It is the opinion of the heads of DB Schenker Rail that this is the right time to make a change at the top. As my successor, Christian Schreyer will ensure a seamless transition as well as continuity of management. I wish him a lot of successes in the execution of the new tasks ahead”, said Hans-Georg Werner.
“Reorganization does not mean a change of direction or the goals we have set. We continuously strive to become the premium rail service provider in Poland that offers its customers the highest quality transport and logistics service based on the European network of DB Schenker Rail. I would like to thank all of you for your trust and I look forward to the prospect of maintaining fruitful cooperation with all our colleagues as well as customers and business partners”, said Christian Schreyer, Board Member for Production and Human Resources.
Christian Schreyer, after becoming a graduate of law, worked for several years as a lawyer before he joined Deutsche Bahn in 1999. In 2002 he became director of the Legal Department at DB Services. In 2004 he took on the position of director of Development and Business Management at DB Services. In 2006 he became director of Strategic Development at Deutsche Bahn AG.
