Partnership to broaden service portfolio for telecoms customers
Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, 22, March, 2012 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain management companies, and 20:20 Mobile Group Limited, a leading provider of distribution services for the mobile phone industry, today announced a strategic business partnership. The partnership across Europe will allow both parties to broaden their service portfolio with a true end-to-end offering for telecoms companies.
Through the combination of CEVA’s well-established logistics expertise in this sector and 20:20 Mobile’s value added services and ability to manage product title and risk, the partnership will provide Mobile (Virtual) Network Operators with solutions that enhance the effectiveness of their supply chains. This alliance means telecoms companies can reduce the working capital demands of carrying handset inventory, while retaining control of range planning and purchasing, and can achieve improved levels of customer service through better product availability and more efficient forward logistics and returns processes.
CEVA and 20:20 Mobile will jointly provide a range of services including mobile device and accessory inventory management, retail store replenishment, order fulfillment, online sales solutions, recycling programs and product returns management.
“A recent trend in the supply chain industry is network operators asking CEVA for supply chain solutions that go beyond traditional physical distribution services and include value added elements, such as stock ownership. This strategic alliance allows us to offer these services. 20:20 Mobile’s capacity to provide a wide set of value added services and CEVA’s integrated Contract Logistics network and services will allow us to jointly improve our customers’ supply chains and deliver them a market-leading solution,” said Paul Williams, Vice President, Technology, Northern Europe, CEVA.
Meinie Oldersma, CEO of 20:20 Mobile Group Limited commented: “It is with great pleasure that we launch this important joint initiative with CEVA as its industry leading expertise and resources provide a proven operating platform for this international endeavor. We see this partnership as offering major benefits to our clients. An integrated supply chain serving our clients’ call center, website, distribution center and retail outlets will improve service levels, reduce stock obsolescence and create higher profits. We know that mobile operators and others are alive to the benefits of a fully integrated value chain and will be receptive to the advantages that this partnership will offer.”
The partnership will initially be focused on providing the extended service portfolio in countries across Europe.
