Quality, Health & Safety and Environment
Middle East, February 28th, 2013 – TNT Express in Middle East is delighted to announce the renewal of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Certifications until the end of 2015, for its UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain offices.
The Integrated Management System encompasses Quality Management – ISO 9001-2008, Health and Safety Management – OHSAS 18001-2007 and Environmental System Management – ISO14001-2004.
TNT’s Recertification Audits were carried out by Vincotte International Middle East, an independently accredited certification body and part of the Belgian based Vincotte Group.
Certified to these International Management System Standards since 2006, TNT is one of the very few companies in the sector, who offers wholesome customer experience that are benchmarked to International Standards.
While the QMS (ISO 9001-2008) ensures continuous improvement on customer focus and customer satisfaction OHSAS 18001-2007 is manifestation of TNT’s commitment to Health & Safety of its employees and operations, which in turn beneficially impacts the society it operates in.
TNT has been on the forefront in its commitment to reduce carbon footprint and to ensure that our approach to this important commitment is scientific and transparent; we have been certified to the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001-2004) since 2006. The current recertification signifies TNT’s commitment to continuously engage in CO2 reduction.
Bryan Moulds, Managing Director for TNT Express Middle East commented, “At TNT Express we take great pride in our systems and this recertification is a reiteration of our commitment to the highest standards in quality, environment and health & safety. And perhaps most important of all, it is an appreciation for the people at TNT Express who are putting their heart into our numerous corporate responsible efforts.”
“This was a very stringent audit and we are proud to have achieved the certifications once again. We view the attainment and retention of such important standards as crucial to the success of our business and that of our clients,” added Bryan Moulds, Managing Director for TNT Express Middle East.
TNT Express’ corporate responsibility (CR) strategy is found on five internationally recognised management standards: OHSAS 18001 for workplace safety, SA8000 for social responsibility, Investors in People for personal growth of employees, ISO14001 for environment and ISO9001 for operational excellence. TNT’s four pillars of its CR strategy are: employees, the environment, other stakeholders such as customers and subcontractors, and voluntary contributions to society.
