Created from the responses of 3PL, 4PLs and users, eyefortransport’s 3PL Selection and Contract Renewal Report offers a unique snapshot of where 3PL comtracting trends stand, and how they have changed since 2009, specific to the North American market.
Key findings include:
- 81% of responding customers are negotiating their next 3PL contract either this year or next
- Fewer customers reporting initial contracts over 3 years in length compared to 2009
- A 60% reduction in the number of customers who plan to increase the number of 3PLs they use
•Sending out RFPs to niche and specialist providers has increased in importance for customers since 2009
•An increased number of North American 3PLs are using third parties to find out about new RFPs
