Singapore, 16 February, 2011 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain companies, has today launched a cross-border roadfreight solution in South East Asia. Providing an integrated and cost effective solution for customers, CEVA now offers a seamless service from Singapore, through Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to China that is both rapid and cost-efficient. This new offering highlights CEVA’s commitment to continuously offer leading edge transport solutions across Asia.
South East Asia is a dynamic market and, as a heavily travelled corridor for freight movements, is a critical link in the supply chains of many global organizations. The solution was developed in response to the needs of customers who have to balance speed and timely shipments throughout South East Asia with a cost-effective and reliable service. Delivering supply chain services and solutions that meet these challenges are key elements of CEVA’s growth strategy.
As CEVA’s customer base continues to grow throughout South East Asia, it identified an opportunity to provide this new solution focusing on key tradelanes within the region, in addition to value added services like Customs clearance. CEVA’s truly integrated roadfreight solution is underpinned by reliability, speed, the very highest security standards and is supported by world class freight management systems and processes.
Casey Fisher, EVP for CEVA in South East Asia said: “Our new cross border solution perfectly meets the needs of our customers, and is just one way that we are developing solutions that help simplify their supply chains – especially important in this fast growing and dynamic region. The expertise and knowledge we have in each country has been critical to creating this new offering, and it has enabled us to successfully navigate the different Customs and border requirements to bring this exciting new product to market.”
CEVA expects approximately 72,000 tons to be carried on the cross border service within the first 12 months, and will be offering Full Truck Load (FTL) and Less Than Truck Load (LTL) services for maximum flexibility in response and delivery times.
