Keystone Distribution employee Adrian Bradbury is set to represent both company and country in the 2011 Stapler Cup, an international fork lift operator competition taking place in the German town of Aschaffenburg this September.
Adrian, 25, a fork lift operative in Keystone’s Heywood distribution centre, will travel with his UK teammates on an all-expenses paid trip to Germany having secured a first place finish in the counterbalance category of the Linde “Ultimate Operator Challenge”.
Adrian will have to overcome some formidable opposition in order to add to his silverware collection, however, as he comes face to face with Europe’s fork lift driving elite. Nerves of steel will be essential as competitors from a total of nine countries endure a series of challenges designed to test competencies such as manoeuvring and stacking technique.
Commenting on Adrian’s involvement in the forthcoming competition, Greg Duckett, General Manager of the company’s Heywood Distribution Centre, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Adrian and he can be very proud to be representing both Keystone and the UK in what is sure to be an exciting but extremely tough challenge. We wish Adrian every success in what will be a fantastic experience both for him and his fellow competitors.”
