Barloworld SCS expands supply chain software business into France

Supply chain planning company, Barloworld Supply Chain Software is expanding its service offering in France and has appointed Gilles Alais as France Country Manager.

Barloworld Supply Chain Software (Barloworld SCS) offers a suite of supply chain software solutions to assist businesses with supply chain planning, strategy and inventory optimisation, supported by supply chain consultancy and customer support.

“We have lots of different clients in different markets all over the world” says Kevin Boake, Managing Director of Barloworld SCS. “We strive to provide the best service and support to all our customers, but it can sometimes be challenging to do so centrally from the UK. As a global company with customers all over the world, it is important to have a local presence where possible.”

With more than 18 years of experience within international software ERP and APS vendors, Gilles has been selected as an experienced business manager, to lead the Barloworld SCS business in France.

“We’re really excited about having a local presence in France and we have a strong and experienced business development manager in Gilles to help push the business forward” says Kevin Boake. “We’ve seen the importance of a specialist to concentrate on non-multi-national business because, while many businesses are global, lots are also national, such as French companies that focus just on France. An experienced local business manager such as Gilles in France is invaluable.”

Gilles Alais has previously been an Account Manager for mid and large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), manufacturing and retail companies, involved with sales and business development. He has an IT Masters degree for Enterprise Management and an Economic Science degree.
